Job summary

Greenberg Traurig LLP seeks a seasoned M&A and private equity attorney to advise on buyouts, add-ons, growth equity investments, recapitalizations and exits for sponsors, family offices, and portfolio companies. The role spans a broad range of industries and leverages GT’s global platform.

You will lead transactions from inception to closing, supervise junior associates, and coordinate with tax, regulatory, IP and finance specialists while helping build long-term client relationships in Florida

Overview

• The role involves advising private equity sponsors, family offices, portfolio companies, founder-led businesses, and other businesses on buyouts, add-on acquisitions, growth equity investments, recapitalizations, and exits.
• The team advises on transactions across various industries, including healthcare, technology, professional services, infrastructure, insurance, education, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and financial services, supported by GT’s global transactional and regulatory platform.
• Responsibilities include leading M&A and private equity transactions from inception to closing (structuring, negotiation, execution), serving as primary client contact (advising on legal, strategic, and business considerations), supervising and mentoring junior associates and paralegals, and coordinating with tax, regulatory, IP, and finance specialists.
• The role also encompasses handling high-stakes negotiations, drafting principal transaction agreements, and managing post-closing matters such as purchase price adjustments, integration issues, and dispute resolution.
• Preferred qualifications include significant experience with cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions, prior representation of private equity funds and portfolio companies, and an interest in building long-term client relationships in Florida and nationally.
