Job description

The IT Systems Engineering team is responsible for enabling efficient and compliant operations across Axonius. We focus on delivering and managing critical SaaS applications, endpoint compliance, and identity and access management (IAM) solutions to support our global workforce.


About the Role:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be a technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our identity platform and corporate SaaS applications. You will partner with business users and other technology teams to support, grow, and implement Corporate IT systems and infrastructure, including products such as Okta, Google Workspace, Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, OpsGenie), Zendesk, Slack, Zoom, and other industry-leading products. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring system security, compliance, and delivering a seamless user experience.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide subject matter expertise for corporate systems and lead all technical aspects of engineering, maintenance, and management of applications and solutions.
  2. Lead technical planning and execution of new office/site build-outs, including infrastructure design, vendor coordination, and on-site implementation.
  3. Design and implement scalable, secure network solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
  4. Manage and optimize wireless networks, focusing on Cisco Meraki and Fortinet solutions, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  5. Maintain documentation and standards for network architecture across locations.
  6. Administer Microsoft Intune for device lifecycle management, including configuration, compliance, app deployment, and conditional access.
  7. Ensure Windows Update compliance through monitoring and coordinated rollout plans.
  8. Perform advanced Windows OS troubleshooting, analyzing logs, driver conflicts, and group policy issues.
  9. Manage SaaS applications, endpoint management, and identity processes.
  10. Develop automation processes related to identity lifecycle, application configuration, and data management.
  11. Collaborate with stakeholders to meet business requirements.
  12. Reference vendor documentation for API integrations.
  13. Configure SaaS systems in Okta to streamline service delivery.
  14. Lead incident response and problem resolution.
  15. Partner with Security & Cybersecurity teams to enforce security and audit controls.
  16. Participate in on-call support rotation.
Key Qualifications:
  1. Experience: 8+ years in IT, including Service Desk operations.
  2. 6+ years managing SaaS applications (Atlassian, Google, Okta, Slack, Zendesk).
  3. 6+ years in enterprise network management, including firewall policies and wireless infrastructure.
  4. 5+ years with Okta administration, SAML, SSO, automation, provisioning.
  5. 5+ years with scripting languages (C#, Python, PowerShell).

Technical Expertise: Knowledge of enterprise applications (Atlassian, Google Workspace, Intune, Jamf, Slack, Zoom), SCIM protocol, APIs, and security best practices.

Leadership: Ability to lead, mentor, and drive strategic initiatives.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for complex challenges.

Communication Skills: Effective collaboration across departments.

Project Management: Experience managing IT projects on time and budget.

Strategic Thinking: Contribute to IT planning and process improvements.

Documentation: Maintain clear system documentation.

Travel and On-Call: Willing to travel internationally and support globally as part of on-call rotation.

  1. Collaborate with IT management on strategy.
  2. Partner with security and compliance teams.
  3. Work with HR and business units on access needs.
  4. Ensure security, compliance, and availability of SaaS workloads.
  5. Drive process improvements.
  6. Support overall IT department success.

Axonius offers competitive compensation, including salary, stock options, benefits, and bonuses.

Salary Range: $150,000—$165,000 USD (excluding bonus/equity)
