Job summary

NBBJ Seattle seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead large corporate workplace projects, driving design vision and client storytelling. You will collaborate with project architects and managers to ensure the design intent is realized through documentation and construction.

The role requires 15+ years’ experience in interiors, a degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture, and strong Revit + visualization skills. Hybrid or on-site collaboration with a global design team is expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive interior design experience, preferably with corporate workplace projects.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
• LEED/WELL/NCIDQ credentials a plus.
• Strong conceptual and schematic design skills translating business goals into interiors.
• Excellent verbal and graphic communication for senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in Revit; BIM collaboration with technical teams.
• Experience with materials, finishes, FF&E and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design concepts, workplace narratives, planning strategies and design development for diverse projects.
• Develop and present design concepts and finish palettes across all phases.
• Partner with project architects and technical teams to reflect design intent in documents.
• Lead client-facing design presentations and workshops with strong visual storytelling.
• Guide FF&E strategy and vendor coordination in alignment with client standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, consultants and contractors to balance design, schedule and budget.
• Mentor junior designers and support career growth discussions.
• Support account growth through trusted client relationships.
