Job summary

Federal Express Corporation seeks a seasoned professional to design, develop and implement enterprise back-office financial systems spanning human resources, finance, payroll, accounting and reporting.

Under limited supervision, you will lead project teams, craft project plans, manage budgets, and document business requirements for enterprise-wide applications. Strong communication and mentoring skills are essential.

Job description

Under limited supervision, designs, develops and implements enterprise back office financial system, including but not limited to systems supporting: human resources, finance, payroll, accounting and reporting

Essential Functions

• Responsibilities include leading project teams, developing project plans, maintaining project budgets, leading technical research and documentation of business requirements in the review of existing and proposed applications for enterprise-wide systems and databases. Communication of governance and support policies to all levels of management and the development and presentation of executive level communications.
• Monitors the effectiveness of system controls, identifies process improvement and communicates recommendations.
• Mentor less senior staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree/equivalency in business, accounting, information technology or related field.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years experience in financial systems analysis, planning, accounting, audit or operational analysis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Experience with business software, multidimensional databases, web technologies, scripting languages in a business environment.

Quantitative business problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.

The role acts as the primary technical liaison and strategic lead for large-scale enterprise projects bridging the gap between complex customer/corporate requirements and technical design specifications. It combines deep ETL/EDI expertise with executive-level communication and project management.

Core Responsibilities & Focus Areas

• Data Transformation and EDI: Designs, tests, and maps complex data files to meet customer and corporate business needs. Leverages hands-on experience with ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, and JSON formats, alongside data transformation platforms.
• Infrastructure & Platform Support: Monitors daily transaction flows, maintains trading partner connections, and troubleshoots data exchange errors. High familiarity with IBM Sterling B2Bi (B2B Integrator), secure communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, HTTPS), Value-Added Networks (VANs), and cloud solutions (IBM Cloud) is expected.
• Modernization & AI Innovation: Proactively leans into AI and emerging technologies to optimize workflows, automate reporting, and drive operational efficiency.
• Business Analysis & Documentation: Translates customer business requirements into functional mapping specs.
• Professional Skills: Root-cause analysis, end-to-end project management, cross-functional collaboration (internal/external), and executive-level client communication.
• Provides input to scoping and impact analysis for future infrastructure updates and new integration deliverables.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support platform stability and modernization initiatives.

The pay range for Memphis, TN., and Orlando, FL., is: Min. $6,511.62 Max $10,744.16. The pay range for Plano, TX., and Pittsburgh, PA. is: Min. $6,854.33 Max. $11,309.65
