Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Corporate Counsel based in Hawthorne, CA. The role provides solutions-based counseling to internal clients on complex legal and business issues. You will support finance and engineering on transactions, draft playbooks, and manage corporate affairs globally.

Ideal candidates hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school with 5+ years in corporate law, including in-house experience and California in-house registration. Onsite work is required in Hawthorne, CA.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 5+ years of corporate law experience.
• In-house counsel experience preferred.
• Ability to register as in-house counsel in California.
• Experience with complex corporate structures and cross-border transactions.
• Admitted to the bar in at least one U.S. state.

Responsibilities

• Support Finance and Engineering teams on corporate transactions and strategic investments, owning all legal diligence, negotiation, deal execution, and integration planning.
• Draft and implement transaction playbooks and integration checklists.
• Manage corporate affairs domestically and internationally for the company and its subsidiaries.
• Draft, negotiate, and review a broad range of commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with stock administration on employee stock plan documents and related communications.
• Support training to educate internal teams on legal standards and regulatory expectations.
• Work cross-functionally to analyze legal risks and develop trusted advisor relationships.
