Kong Inc., the AI Connectivity Company, seeks an experienced attorney to join as an early member of its global commercial legal team in the Americas East.

Based in New York, Chicago, Austin, or Toronto, you will lead complex SaaS and on‑premises negotiations, advise the revenue team, review contracts, and help shape policy on privacy, security, IP, and government contracting. This is a high‑ownership role requiring strong business judgment and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor and bar admission in good standing or eligible for in-house counsel status.
• 7–10 years of experience negotiating and closing complex SaaS/software contracts.
• Experience with federal government procurement and private tech companies.

Responsabilités

• Lead complex SaaS and on-premises commercial negotiations.
• Advise US East sales team and cross-functional partners.
• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with laws affecting SaaS, AI, privacy, security and government contracting.
• Collaborate with Finance, Revenue Operations and Customer Assurance to close contracts.
• Develop positions on AI-related customer infrastructure.
