Job description

Join Intuit as a Senior Corporate Counsel – Platform/AI and be part of a dynamic legal team that brings emerging technology to life through customer experiences at scale. You’ll partner with product, engineering, data science, and business teams around the world to explore new possibilities in AI, guide products from experimentation through launch, and lead technology transactions that bring innovative capabilities to our millions of customers.

Working collaboratively across Legal, Security, and Government Affairs, you’ll turn complex questions into clear, practical guidance that advances Intuit’s strategic initiatives. You’ll also put AI to work yourself, building tools, automating workflows, and embedding legal guidance where teams need it. We’re looking for someone who brings curiosity and sound judgment to new challenges, enjoys learning alongside others, and is excited to help teams move with velocity and confidence.

Responsibilities
  • Provide practical legal guidance throughout the product lifecycle on AI, emerging technologies, and platform capabilities, including intellectual property, privacy and data protection, consumer protection, product liability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft and negotiate technology licensing, integration, platform, and other commercial agreements supporting Intuit’s products and technology ecosystem and delivering transformational customer experiences.
  • Develop practical positions on emerging AI and platform issues, by aligning stakeholders and forming guidance and guardrails.
  • Partner to responsibly deploy new AI-tools across our global workforce.
  • Translate emerging legal developments into actionable product and business guidance.
  • Develop and implement AI-enabled tools and workflows that seamlessly embed our legal guidance into business processes.

Qualifications
  • JD and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
  • 6+ years of relevant legal experience, primarily advising technology companies.
  • Experience counseling product and engineering teams through development and launch, with sound judgment on novel or ambiguous issues.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating technology and commercial agreements, including licensing, platform, integration, or similar arrangements.
  • Ability to translate product architecture, data flows, and business objectives into clear contract terms and practical negotiating positions.
  • Experience developing reusable agreements, negotiation guidance, or other resources that make legal support more efficient.
  • Working knowledge of intellectual property, open source licensing, privacy and data protection, and consumer protection.
  • Strong technical fluency in AI and platform technologies, with the ability to understand how systems work through close collaboration with engineers and data scientists.
  • Hands‑on use of AI and other technology to improve legal workflows, with a willingness to experiment, build, and adopt tools that automate routine work and accelerate legal support.
  • Curiosity, resourcefulness, and comfort with ambiguity, with the ability to ask focused questions, learn unfamiliar technology, and develop clear recommendations.
  • Practical judgment that balances business opportunity and legal risk, supports informed risk‑taking, and recognizes when to adapt an approach or elevate an issue.
  • Clear, concise communication that makes complex issues actionable, accounts for stakeholder perspectives, and builds alignment across teams.
