Job summary

GRAIL is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel/Associate Director, Compliance, to serve as a strategic legal and compliance advisor across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will help shape and enhance GRAIL's global compliance program, influence enterprise-wide initiatives, and foster a culture of integrity and accountability.

This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA with flexible arrangement; a minimum of 60% on-site work is required, with the site hosting on Tuesdays and

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.
• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. healthcare compliance laws and industry standards.
• Experience advising cross-functional teams in highly regulated environments.
• Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted legal and compliance advisor to leaders across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Finance, Marketing, People, Legal, and other corporate functions.
• Provide practical, business-oriented guidance on healthcare and corporate compliance matters (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, EKRA).
• Draft and negotiate compliance provisions in commercial agreements and business arrangements.
• Strengthen and scale GRAIL's global compliance program; lead cross-functional initiatives.
