Job summary

Bellevue Capital is seeking a Corporate Controller to oversee accounting operations across its entities from the Middletown, RI location. The role partners with senior leadership to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls in a publicly traded company environment.

The position requires GAAP expertise, SOX compliance, and experience with SEC filings. Candidates should have 7–10 years of relevant experience and CPA is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including prior supervisory experience.
• Experience with public company reporting and SEC compliance strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX internal control frameworks, and multi-entity consolidations.
• Experience in real estate, hospitality, or diversified holding company environments preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• High degree of integrity and discretion in handling confidential and material non-public information.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across Bellevue Capital and affiliated entities.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close process in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies, including SOX compliance where applicable.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and management reporting.
• Support preparation of SEC filings (10-K and 10-Q) in coordination with CFO, legal counsel, and external auditors.
• Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting with department and entity leadership.
• Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide insights to senior management.
