Job summary

The Bronx in Austin, TX is seeking a Corporate Controller to own the accounting function in a scaling organization. This hands-on leader will drive monthly closes, financial reporting, internal controls, and audits, mentoring a small team and partnering with FP&A, Legal, and Sales on new products and contracts.

The role emphasizes ASC 606 revenue recognition, GAAP compliance, and strong leadership to build scalable processes as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Controller level experience in a scaling organization.
• Expertise in revenue accounting, ASC 606, GAAP.
• Experience with external audits and tax schedules.
• CPA, Big 4 background preferred; strong leadership & communication.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and quarterly close end to end, including schedules and reconciliations.
• Lead ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 842 lease accounting, memos.
• Oversee AP/AR, banking, internal controls, documentation.
• Manage annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Develop and mentor a 3–4 person accounting team.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, Sales, and leadership on impact of deals.
