Lateral Link is assisting a prestigious Chicago law firm seeking a Corporate Attorney with 6–14 years of experience to join its preeminent team. The role involves handling M&A, private equity, corporate governance, and general corporate matters in a high-profile environment.

The position offers base compensation up to $425K, DOE, plus bonus, and a hybrid work arrangement to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• AmLaw 200 (or comparable) Firm experience required.
• Illinois bar admission or ability to become admitted.
• 6–14 years of corporate transactional experience preferred.
• Preference for private equity and sophisticated M&A transactions.
• Experience with private securities offerings (Reg D or similar).
• Strong leadership, client relationship management, and writing skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead private company M&A from strategy through closing, including drafting/negotiating documents.
• Advise on governance, compliance, and organizational matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts.
• Structure and draft LLC/Shareholder agreements.
• Provide broad support on general corporate matters.
