Job summary

BNY invites you to join as Senior Specialist, Corporate Actions in Lake Mary, FL. You will perform mandatory and voluntary corporate action processing, manage risk, reconciliations, and client reporting to ensure accuracy across custody operations.

This role requires collaboration with internal teams, depositories, brokers and investment managers; you will disseminate event information, review cash and security transactions, and mentor less experienced staff where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• 5-7 years of total work experience preferred.
• Experience in financial services or corporate actions is preferred.
• Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.

Responsibilities

• Perform mandatory and voluntary corporate action-related custody and accounting processing requirements, such as dividend payments, reorganization/proxy, bond redemption, etc.
• Manage and control risk and liability inherent in the various functions; conduct reconciliations and client reporting.
• Meet with organizational units/teams to ensure corporate action events are addressed appropriately.
• Determine impact of moderately complex events and disseminate information to investors and client accounts.
• Integrate in-depth area knowledge with industry standards to provide client solutions.
• Review cash reconciliations, security and suspense transactions per quality control measures.
• Research and respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Work on multiple systems to perform complex corporate action processing and posting of transactions.
• Contribute to documentation circulated to the market.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced staff; may have people management responsibilities in some geographies.
