Harley-Davidson Motor Company in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Lead Corporate Accounting to support corporate and fixed asset accounting, close processes, and SOX compliance. This role acts as a subject matter expert and provides leadership to the accounting team.

The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience in a complex corporate environment with solid U.S. GAAP and ERP system proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and analyses.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations in line with SOX and policies.
• Support internal and external financial reporting requirements.
• Analyze variances and explain period-over-period results.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies.
• Assist in audit schedules and auditor inquiries.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Payroll and stakeholders.
• Lead fixed asset accounting activities including additions, retirements, transfers, impairments, depreciation.
• Review CIP projects and capitalization.
