Job summary

Marzetti Company is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join its Finance team in Columbus, OH. You will support monthly and quarterly close, consolidate financial statements, and manage internal reporting while ensuring strong controls and compliance with US GAAP.

You will also assist with external reporting, audits, and special projects related to leases and stock-based compensation, collaborating across finance and accounting functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting and ASC 718 stock-based compensation preferred.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and consolidation experience.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reporting.
• Own consolidation entries and supporting documentation.
• Prepare internal financial statements and analyses for leadership.
• Support external reporting, audits, and tie-out procedures.
• Maintain internal controls and identify process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on accounting projects.
