Job summary

Venteon Finance is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant for a manufacturing client in the Detroit area. The role focuses on leading monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation across entities, preparing consolidation entries, and ensuring intercompany eliminations align with US GAAP.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 5+ years of consolidation experience and CPA designation is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in consolidation.
• Experience with consolidation accounting and intercompany eliminations.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation activities across legal entities and business units.
• Prepare, record, and review consolidation entries, entity-level entries, and intercompany eliminating entries.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, investigate differences, and coordinate timely resolution with business unit finance teams.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements, management reports, supporting schedules, and reporting packages in accordance with US GAAP.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and deliver corporate accounting deliverables per the calendar.
• Assist Corporate Controller with technical accounting research, internal controls, special projects, and process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve, standardize, and automate consolidation, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
