JOB OBJECTIVE
Paediatrichematologyand oncology nurses are settingand achieving the highest standards of care for children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Therole of themembershipandcommunitycoordinatoriskey to ensuring thatmembers,chapters, committees,and volunteer leadersareproperly supported,informed,and engaged.

COMPENSATION: $26.30 - $27.00 hourly , based on relevant experience and skills.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The individual who steps into this roleshouldholdaphilosophy ofservant leadership while being able to address multiple areas of work at one time. Responsibilities include:
Membership
- Achieve functionalproficiencyof the association management systemdatabaseincluding the ability to process dues, registrations,and other member transactions.
- Provide high-quality member services and engagementincluding responding togeneral inquiries from members/volunteers via phone calls and email communication.
- Support membership efforts including recruitment, retention,recognition and engagementand campaigns.
- Support the compilation of monthly reports.
Chapters
- Administrative supportfor APHON’s fifty plus chapters including management of the annual reporting process, filing annual business reports with the state, andmaintainingthe recordssuch asarticles of incorporation, bylaws, officer lists,and more.
- Support the Local ChapterCommitteewith the meetings and operations.
- Provide responses to chapter leaders related to questionsper operational guidelines.
Account Management
- Helpmaintaina positive, productive relationship between the client and MCI USA
- Support day-to-dayservicedelivery for the account
- Track basic account details and share updates with your supervisor
- Flag any client concerns, service issues, or unusual requests to yourMCIsupervisor
- Contribute to evaluation of scope of work and gather feedback and recommendations
- Build working knowledge of MCI's business lines and resources so they can be applied to the client as needed
- Follow MCI USA's processes while being a helpful point of contact for the client
- Help prepare updates on account activity for yourMCIsupervisor, to support MCI account and Board reporting
Committee and Volunteer Management
- Supportmanagement of volunteers from the annual call forvolunteerprocess tomaintainingrecords,volunteer assignments,andrecognitionsuch assupporting annual award programs.
- Provide operational support for the Member Connection online community platformmanaging accessforprivate community groups.
- Supportthe executive director with general board operations including
- Maintain APHON’s public event calendar andassistwith virtual and/or onsite association eventsincluding attendingAPHON’s annual meetingtosupport thebooth,registration desk,andgenerallogisticsas requested.
GeneralOperations
- Work in various technology platforms includingabilityto make minor website updates, create online forms and surveys, make presentations, and manage Zoom meetings and webinars.
- Provide back up support for the operations coordinator responsible foraccounts payables,invoicing, payment batching, and order entry.
Account Support and Commercial Awareness
- Support the delivery of contracted services bymaintainingawareness of scope, service commitments, and client expectations.
- Proactivelyidentifyand escalatemember, volunteer, chapter, or service-related concerns that mayimpactclient satisfaction, account health, or delivery of services.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position reports to the Director of Governance, Engagement, and Operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (written & oral).
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer/member service even indifficult situations.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in fast-paced work environment.
- Applicant must be extremely organized, diligent, able to multi-task, andoperatewith only the highest degree of integrity.
PROFESSIONAL AND LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES
- Proven skills workingwith a variety of people and cultures.
- Ability toorganize self and work independently and deliver to deadlines.
- Fundamental understanding ofassociations and volunteer environments.
SPECIFIC TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Technicalproficiencywith Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Forms), general computing skills, and theinternet.
- Experience with Association Management Systems (AMS)andcommunityplatforms preferred.
- Experience with basic document management in Adobe and design in Canva preferred.
ADDITIONAL LOCAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability totravelonceperyear domesticallyfor theannualconference.
