Flik Hospitality Group is hiring an on-call Senior Cook for Cafe Carnival in Doral, FL. The role requires batch cooking, knife skills, high-volume production, and dietary/allergen training. The schedule is on-call with varying hours, and there is an internal referral bonus.

You will prepare entrées per approved recipes, supervise cooking staff when needed, ensure HACCP compliance, and maintain proper food storage and sanitation. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous batch cooking experience is required.
• Proficiency with knife skills and high-volume cooking.
• Dietary and allergen training is required.
• Catering cooking experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cooking activities as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepare various entrees following established recipes.
• Operate and clean equipment after use; perform routine cleaning.
• Store, label and date food items; maintain organized storage.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food safety and quality.
• Assist in maintaining daily production records and documentation.
• Assist in cross-training of staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Details

• We are hiring immediately for an on call SENIOR COOK position.
• Location: Cafe Carnival - 3655 Northwest 87th Avenue, Doral, FL 33178. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: On call schedule. Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, or Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Further details upon interview.
• Requirements: Previous batch cooking, knife skills, high-volume cooking, dietary and allergen training, and catering cooking experience required.
• Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available.
• Pay Range: $17.50 per hour to $19.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Prepares food to ensure it is nutritious and properly flavored in accordance with applicable federal, state, local and company standards, guidelines and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• May oversee the cooking activities of food service associates as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepares various entrees and menu items following established recipes.

• Assists Food Service Director in maintaining accurate daily production records and completes all required documentation, reports, and logs as assigned.
• Assists in the cross training of employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
