Job summary

Morrison Living in Detroit, MI, part of Compass Group USA, is hiring immediately for a Senior Cook. The role prepares nutritious meals to standards, with a 9:00 am to 5:30 pm schedule and rotating weekends/holidays.

Location: Rivertown Neighborhood, 250 McDougal, Detroit, MI 48207; pay range: $18.00–$21.00 per hour. You will supervise cooking activities, prepare entrees per recipes, operate and clean equipment, follow HACCP guidelines, and help maintain daily production records.

Qualifications

• Prepares nutritious and flavorful foods following standards and regulations.
• Ensures health and sanitation guidelines are followed.
• Oversees cooking activities and assists with training staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cooking activities as assigned by Food Service Director.
• Prepare various entrees following established recipes and portions.
• Operate and clean equipment; perform routine cleaning.
• Store, label and date food items; maintain organized storage.
• Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure safety and quality.
• Maintain accurate daily production records and documentation.
• Assist in cross-training of employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
