Job summary

Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Senior Cook to prepare hot foods for multiple dining venues and events. The role requires following recipes, ensuring quality, safety, and teamwork within the culinary team. Full-time schedule is 11:30am–7:30pm, including weekends and holidays.

You will contribute to high standards of food safety, assist in training staff, and support special functions. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of kitchen experience in professional, commercial, or institutional settings.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble hot and cold food items per recipes and production sheets.
• Serve meals across multiple dining venues, including main dining room and resident café.
• Monitor temperatures and ensure proper storage and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area and assist with training teammates.
