Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Centennial Job Corps Center in Nampa, ID. The role prepares all center meals within budget and adheres to pre-planned menus in line with government directives.

You will work to maintain quality, sanitation, and efficient food service across shifts. Responsibilities include supervising cafeteria staff, controlling waste, supporting special events, and cooking as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in food services with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Valid food handler's permit if required in the state of employment.
• Experience with youth and strong written and verbal communication, plus computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cafeteria services on the assigned shift in the absence of the food services supervisor.
• Ensure food production quality and manage purchases; minimize waste through storage and inventory control.
• Maintain sanitary and safe kitchen/dining areas; conduct daily inspections.
• Prepare food service for center functions and visitors on the assigned shift.
• Assist in developing and implementing updated policies affecting food service.
• Cook as needed, including menu item development when supervisor is unavailable.
• Assist in cleaning kitchen and dining areas to meet health standards.
