Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to support an appliance manufacturing campus with multiple product lines in Camden, SC. You will lead advanced conveyance and sortation projects, partner with operations, maintenance, logistics and IT to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of material flow.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing systems, managing budgets, analyzing current processes, and staying ahead of industry

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related field.
“5+ years of experience in advanced manufacturing engineering, including conveyance and sortation systems.”
Experience with automation and material handling technologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the specification, design, development, and implementation of conveyance and sortation systems.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, logistics and IT to integrate systems with existing processes.
Conduct analyses to identify improvements and drive innovation.
Model current systems with simulation to evaluate changes.
Manage project plans, budgets and timelines for successful delivery.
Evaluate technologies and vendors to support system enhancements.
Ensure safety, quality and regulatory standards are upheld.
