Job summary

JRC is seeking a Conventional Safety and Certification Lead to plan and manage safety requirements for LOC missile programs. You will verify safety implementations, support certification activities, and ensure compliance with DoD safety processes. Travel around 50% for tests and reviews.

Ideal candidates will have DoD program experience, a strong engineering background, and relevant certifications. This role offers a path to influence major defense programs within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • DAWIA Advanced Certification in Engineering or Program Management.
  • INCOSE CSEP/ESEP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assess system, missile, and ordnance safety policy and derive implementable missile requirements.
  • Oversee contractor safety feature implementation into missile designs.
  • Represent LOC missile equities at safety meetings and forums.
  • Collaborate with external partners to assess safety features and compliance.
  • Advise on safety program changes and potential impacts.
