San Francisco Travel seeks a Sr. Manager of Convention Sales to drive destination-based sales in the DC area, advancing groups from RFP to definite bookings.

You will lead in-market collaboration, craft tailored experiences for clients, and coordinate cross-functional teams to hit monthly and annual targets. Proven ability to close convention business, manage multiple priorities, and deliver compelling presentations will be essential.

Qualifikationen

• Education and/or training equivalent to college graduate.
• Degree in business administration a plus.
• 5+ years directly related experience in hotel or convention industry from destination group/convention sales.

Aufgaben

• Develop and convert new leads for group association and corporate accounts; maintain relationships via office visits and ongoing communication.
• Coordinate and own the RFP response process with in-market lead generation team; generate new leads from assigned territory.
• Generate bookings by qualifying business, finding dates, blocking space, and building the RFP; maintain production at ≥85%.
• Coordinate with Services to participate in sales sites, face-to-face appointments, tradeshows, and client events.
• Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals as directed by Sales Leader.
• Book groups based on room nights, attendees and room demand.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet sales objectives with marketing, sales, finance, and operations.
• Attend SF Travel events to increase overall production.
