Job summary

Amkor is seeking a Controls System Engineer to design, install, commission, and run facility control systems for an OSAT factory. You will work with PLC, SCADA, and instrumentation to ensure reliable HVAC, UPW, WWT, gas and life safety operations across the project lifecycle.

The role requires 3+ years in facilities control systems, strong PLC/SCADA knowledge, P&ID reading, and problem-solving prowess. PE is a plus; on-site work in Tempe, AZ with safety compliance responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation & Controls Engineering.
• 3+ years in facilities control systems engineering in high-tech manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, PID controllers and VFDs.
• Ability to read P&ID drawings and engineering specs; experience with HMIs.
• Familiarity with industry communication protocols and MS Office tools.
• PE license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and commission facility control systems for OSAT factory.
• Support operation and maintenance of PLC and SCADA platforms.
• Review drawings, submittals, and monitor construction progress.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and trend evaluations for incidents.
• Develop calibration programs for transmitters and control valves.
• Ensure safety standards and company control system guidelines are met.
