Summary:

The Controls Systems Electro-Mechanical Component Engineer will work with internal and external customers to identify component and system requirements for conventional transmission, hybrid, and electrified propulsion system components. Based on these requirements, this engineer will develop specifications, statements of work, and action plans to design, develop, and source electronic parts for conventional and electrified propulsion systems. This role will be instrumental in developing and overseeing the execution of verification plans for components and systems in laboratory, test cell, and vehicle environments. Finally, this person will play a lead role in investigation and resolution of field issues as opportunities with fielded products arise.

Responsibilities:
  • Specify, develop and validate electronic devices and related electrical interface components.
  • Conduct system integration with electrical, mechanical, and control systems engineering teams.

Education Required:

  • MS in Engineering
Experience:
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar engineering field
  • 5 years of experience with developing electronic control system hardware
  • Supervisory/leadership experience
  • Ability to solve problems, troubleshoot, and perform root cause analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a cross functional setting
  • Some Travel

  • Validation Plan and DVP&R Development
  • Automotive and Commercial Vehicle applications
