Job summary

Trex Company is seeking a dynamic Leadershi p in Controls Engineering to guide the department, oversee design and programming of control systems for our manufacturing processes, and drive continuous improvement. This role requires 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

You'll lead a team of engineers and technicians, set departmental goals, and collaborate with multiple departments to advance Trex's safety, quality, and efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 5+ years in controls design and programming in manufacturing.
• Expertise in PLC programming, SCADA, control network design, and advanced control strategies.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD 2D.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the controls engineering department, including team development and performance management.
• Set departmental goals and align with the organization's mission.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems into organizational processes.
• Provide technical leadership on complex control system projects.
• Oversee design and development of control systems for quality, efficiency, and innovation.
• Establish and maintain technical standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in control systems, processes, and technology adoption.
• Manage the department's budget, resources, and project timelines.
• Liaise with senior management to report on departmental performance and initiatives.
