Job summary
Samsonrose, a cutting-edge automation company, seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to own the controls backlog from day one and drive development in a Beckhoff TwinCAT environment. You will develop, troubleshoot, and commission large-scale systems combining robotics, ASRS, conveyance, and sortation for advanced warehouse automation.
The ideal candidate has a EE/Mechatronics degree, 5+ years in industrial controls, strong Structured Text skills, and hands-on cabinet work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related controls field.
- 5+ years developing industrial control systems.
- Strong hands-on Beckhoff PLCs and TwinCAT proficiency.
- Proficient in Structured Text (IEC61131-3).
- Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software in control cabinets.
- Background in industrial automation, preferably material handling or robotics.
- Willing to travel up to 30% for onsite commissioning and deployments.
- Based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Responsibilities
- Own the controls engineering backlog from day one.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and commission large-scale automation systems.
- Work within a Beckhoff TwinCAT environment in an agile setting.
