Job summary

Wunderlich-Malec Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer for our Loveland, CO office. You will lead turbomachinery control projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with clients to deliver innovative control solutions.

The role requires 5–10 years of related experience and a strong background in PLC/DCS/HMI platforms, who can develop schematics, panels and software, and travel up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of directly related experience in turbomachinery controls or process controls.
• Strong leadership and client relation skills; professional communication.
• Familiarity with PLC/DCS/TCS platforms (Rockwell, Honeywell, Siemens, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize and schedule tasks with accountability to meet commitments.
• Lead on projects and mentor younger engineers and technicians.
• Design, develop and implement turbomachinery control systems; read and create control narratives and schematics.
• Coordinate with clients and teams; ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Develop drawings, wiring diagrams and bill of materials; oversee panel assembly and testing.
