Job Description

If you are an Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow and be a part of developing award-winning controls systems software and automation products for our customers, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you with our Power and Water Solutions team, located in Cranberry Township, PA.

You will be part of the Thermal Power Engineering group, which provides engineered control system solutions for power plants in North America, focusing on replacing existing power plants with Emerson's Ovation Distributed Control System (DCS). The department handles project management, engineering design, factory acceptance testing, and commissioning services.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Own application design and engineering execution for thermal power projects.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project cycle and deliver outstanding results.
  • Participate in a collaborative and innovative team passionate about solving complex problems.
  • Engage with Subject Matter Experts teams.
  • Develop and track engineering plans, and issue monthly project reports.
  • Suggest and develop improvements for products and processes.
  • Collaborate and provide technical leadership to A/E firms and customers to identify key solutions to customer concerns.

Who You Are:

You anticipate customer needs and provide services beyond expectations. You communicate clearly and partner effectively to get work done.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of related experience in an engineering environment.
  • Experience designing controls for PLC or DCS applications.
  • Experience in the power industry.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% in North America.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
