PAR Systems, a world leader in automation and control systems, seeks a Senior Controls Engineer to design and implement software for high‑reliability crane systems. You will translate customer requirements into robust software, lead design reviews, and mentor teams in a safety‑critical environment.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in regulated software, strong C/C++/C#, and experience with PLC/HMI programming. Travel up to 25% for installations may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Ability to translate customer and system requirements into testable software requirements.
• Experience with PC-based, PLC, HMIs, or related control software; supports SDLC processes.
• Experience with software configuration management and traceability tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for complex crane and lifting equipment in regulated industries.
• Translate requirements into software designs and verifiable tests.
• Collaborate across disciplines to drive design reviews and verification.
• Mentor engineers and ensure rigorous documentation and traceability.
