Job summary
PAR Systems, based in Minnesota, is expanding its Controls Engineering team across Critical Handling Solutions, Advanced Manufacturing, and Automated Assembly. This role invites a hands-on engineer to commission complex automation equipment and translate school theory into practical solutions within a collaborative project environment.
You will program PLCs, robots, cameras, and related hardware, document designs to meet UL/NEC/NFPA standards, and travel to customer sites as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with GPA 3.0+ preferred
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Strong attention to detail and communication
- Interest in electromechanical systems and automation
- Some experience with PC/PLC/Robot programming or electrical design is a plus
Responsibilities
- Commission and test complex automation equipment
- Program PLCs, PCs, robots, and cameras
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
- Produce and document electrical and software designs per standards
- Support installation and commissioning at customer sites
