Job summary

Actus Nutrition (Milk Specialties Company) has an opening based out of its Norfolk, Nebraska facility for the position of Senior Controls Engineer. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Five years of progressive experience in controls engineering in a processing plant.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Logix programming.
• Experience with HMI developments (FactoryTalk ME/View and Aveva InTouch) and related data servers/historians.
• Travel up to 50% of the time to company sites across the United States.

Responsibilities

• Advise on and select plant equipment and control needs for digital and analog I/O, cabinet and system design requirements.
• Oversee external control vendors; lead design, coding, testing, and debugging of programs.
• Drive standards to ensure reliability of control systems; oversee control network communications.
• Provide support to address critical plant control system issues.
• Oversee project production to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations for conformance to design and equipment specifications.
• Collect data in relation to control system to determine operating efficiencies.
