Job summary

Tyson Foods seeks an experienced IT leader to oversee the technical direction of technology-based processes across departments. You will design and manage department-specific environments and ensure IT service levels are met to support critical operations.

The role requires collaboration with decision-makers to implement cost-effective IT solutions, define policies, and drive best practices across the organization. Travel may be required for project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical area.
• 6+ years of experience in Information Systems or related area with proven programming experience.
• Strong knowledge of SCADA (Ignition and iFix), 4GL programming, scripting, server based, and SQL.
• PLC programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting in industrial environments; ladder logic and structured programming; Schneider Electric / Modicon preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain technical information to non-technical personnel.
• Experience with System Development Lifecycle Methodology; developing/reviewing specifications; cross-functional teamwork; problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical direction for technology-based processes.
• Develop and manage technical environments for each department.
• Meet IT service level agreements for the user community.
• Plan and provide direction for IT solutions to enhance operations.
• Collaborate with decision makers to implement cost-effective IT solutions.
• Define and implement IT policies, standards, and best practices.
• Advise on vendor selections and technology direction.
• Support future planning of IT initiatives.
• Travel as required for project needs.
