JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead the full controls lifecycle for custom automation projects. You will design, program, test, and deploy control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and vision/SCADA solutions, across diverse equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in controls engineering, automation, or related disciplines.
• 2+ years leading technical projects with ownership of decisions and execution.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive technical excellence.
• Strong breadth of experience with industrial automation technologies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full controls lifecycle for new automation builds from concept through commissioning and acceptance.
• Design and program control systems including PLC logic, HMI, robotics integration, and vision/SCADA for new equipment.
• Create control architectures to meet customer requirements and performance standards.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently with focus on quality, schedule, and customer needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance within the department.
• Travel up to 25% to customer sites and company locations for commissioning and support.
