Job summary

Vertage Inc. is seeking an on-site automation engineer to develop and design control software packages using PLCs and HMIs. You will interpret customer specs, verify equipment performance, and program robot and control systems accordingly.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, documentation, and on-site technical support at customer facilities in Greenville, SC. Strong knowledge of Rockwell, Beckhoff, Siemens, and FANUC systems is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial automation and control systems.
• Ability to design and implement PLC/automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic design principles.

Responsibilities

• Develops and designs controls software packages using PLCs and HMIs.
• Develops operation manuals detailing equipment functionality and setup.
• Ensures equipment meets customer specifications and approved design.
• Programs robotic and/or controls equipment per customer specs.
• Performs preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Provides technical support and training to customers on-site.
• Ensures safe work practices on customer sites.
