Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to coordinate the design, installation, and startup of process control, network, electrical, and plant equipment projects across Feed Manufacturing Operations.

The role partners with regional leaders and plant managers to drive process improvements, estimate capital needs, select contractors, and ensure safe, compliant operations. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in engineering with a focus on mechanical/agricultural/food processing,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in engineering with concentration in Mechanical, Agricultural, Food, Industrial, Feed Process Engineering or related degree and 10+ years related work experience.
• Technical processing expertise for Operations in Animal Feed, Food or related industries; solid knowledge of processing systems; proven project management experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and cost initiatives.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as Adobe/Bluebeam, AutoCAD and SKM.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the design, installation and start-up of process control, network, electrical, plant construction or process equipment projects for Feed Manufacturing Operations and other units.
• Develop project scope, estimates, contractor selection, equipment specs and purchases; manage implementation timeline and plans.
• Provide recommended methods and standard operating practices to ensure safe and effective control, optimize processes and meet product specs.
