Job summary

Zeeco seeks a Controls Engineer based in Tulsa or Connecticut to deliver controls and instrumentation expertise across a range of products. You will develop P&ID drawings, control panels, ISA data sheets, and wiring diagrams, and prepare narratives and interconnection diagrams for PLC and DCS systems.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Instrumentation Technology.
• 10+ years of industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in controls engineering within process technology environments.

Responsibilities

• Review project engineering and sales packages to scope equipment supply.
• Read specifications and implement them for AS SOLD equipment.
• Develop P&ID drawings coordinating with project, sales and process engineers.
• Develop control panel BOMs including enclosures, relays and PLCs.
• Develop ISA data sheets for transmitters, valves, positioners and instrumentation.
• Create drawings for panels, power distribution, junction boxes and warning light systems.
• Draft control narratives, cause-and-effect diagrams and ISA logic diagrams for PLCs and DCS.
• Prepare cable BOMs, routing plans and schedules.
• Inspect and test equipment before shipment; assist customer during commissioning; travel as needed.
