Job summary

Zeeco seeks a Controls Engineer to join the Process Technology Division from Zeeco's Tulsa or Connecticut office. The role provides controls and instrumentation expertise for a variety of product inquiries.

Responsibilities include reviewing project packages, reading specifications, developing P&ID drawings, calculating control panel BOMs, and preparing ISA data sheets. Occasional travel for commissioning and customer support is expected.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preference for controls engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Review project engineering and sales packages to determine equipment scope.
• Read customer specifications and implement those specs for AS SOLD equipment.
• Develop P&ID drawings with project, sales and process engineers.
• Create control panel BOMs including enclosures, lights, switches, relays, timers, alarms and PLCs.
• Develop ISA data sheets for transmitters, control valves and instrumentation.
• Prepare drawings for control panels, power distribution, junction boxes and warning systems.
• Develop control narratives, cause-and-effect diagrams and ISA logic diagrams for PLCs/DCS.
• Prepare cable BOMs, routing plans and schedules.
• Inspect and test equipment prior to shipment; travel for commissioning as needed.
