Job summary

United Therapeutics Corporation is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to maintain and enhance automation and distributed control systems for our manufacturing and packaging operations in Durham, NC. You will support OT/ET systems, including ERP and QMS platforms, in a regulated environment, collaborating with engineering to ensure GMP/compliant performance.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, networks, databases, and validation activities, while driving continuous improvement in manufacturing

Qualifications

• 9+ years automation experience across multiple systems (GED path)
• Experience as controls/automation SME on projects
• FDA regulated pharm manufacturing experience
• Proficiency with Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Siemens S5/S7 PLCs and related tools
• Strong database and network troubleshooting skills
• Experience documenting engineering deliverables (URS/DDS/FDS/P&IDS)
• Excellent teamwork and ability to manage multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for distributed control, packaging and manufacturing automation systems
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs and field devices under change control
• Network, database and programming troubleshooting; SQL work
• Support OT systems including TrackWise, SAP, Adept/MasterControl and EBR
• Collaborate with engineering for system configuration, graphics and sequences of operation
