Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience with PLC programming, SCADA, and automation systems.
Background supporting critical process, industrial, or infrastructure environments.
Experience leading projects, vendors, and contractors.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Able to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

Lead controls and automation projects from concept through commissioning.
Troubleshoot and optimise PLC, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
Develop control philosophies, standards, documentation, and operating procedures.
Support upgrades, expansions, and capital projects across multiple sites.
Manage third-party contractors, vendors, and system integrators.
Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for critical system issues.
Oversee commissioning, testing, QA/QC, and handover of new systems.
Support ongoing maintenance, alarm management, reporting, and system performance improvements.
Act as the technical SME for controls and automation across the portfolio.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule supporting 24/7 operations.
