Job summary

Alliance Automation, LLC is seeking a senior Controls Engineer (Controls Engineer 4) to design and program automation systems for diverse industries. This role requires 10+ years of experience and involves both office engineering and shop-floor commissioning in Van Wert, Ohio, interfacing with customers and cross-functional teams.

You will lead large and small projects, develop control architectures, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring project milestones and budgets are met.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Related degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Able to conform to shifting priorities and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to interface with customers professionally.
• Expertise with automation platforms and logic controllers; vision systems and multiple robot platforms.

Responsibilities

• Program execution within budget.
• Proficient at concepting and quoting.
• Proficiently lead teams.
• Troubleshooting systems on site and in shop.
• Proficient at interfacing with customers.
• Develop programming standards and templates to speed projects.
• Lead large and small projects at customer sites.
• Design system architecture for machine control systems and EC/ network diagrams.
• Interface controls architecture with MES systems.
• Travel with equipment to customer sites for installation and training.
