Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience, 10+ preferred.
• Related degree or equivalent work experience.
• Able to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to interface with the customer in a professional manner.
• Be considered an expert at using any platform of Automation and logic controllers.
• Be considered an expert at selecting, developing, and implementing vision systems.
• Be considered an expert in multiple robot platforms.
• Know programming, commissioning, and debug labor hour requirements for any size project.
• Must possess Strong Project Management skills as it relates to Controls Engineering of a project.
• Must be willing to help train junior engineers and technicians.
• Robotics/AMR experience preferred.

• Develop Programming Standards and Code templates to reduce completion time
• Meet deadlines and take a project from start to finish
• Lead large and small projects both at our facility and at the customer's site
• Design system architecture for machine control systems, including electrical schematics and network diagrams
• Specify and Program Data Collection systems that interface with the PLC/PAC
• Interface Controls Architecture with MES Systems
• Lead teams of controls engineers for larger projects
• Provide quoting and estimating numbers to the Applications team as needed
• Provide Programming, Commissioning, and debug guidance to junior engineers
• Provide mechanical design input to help produce the best equipment and reduce labor
• Travel with equipment to customer sites for installation and training
