Job summary

SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment | Certified B Corporation™ in Houston seeks a hands-on Controls Engineer to design, program, test, and commission industrial control systems. You will lead projects from estimate through startup, developing PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions for diverse customers with minimal travel and a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial controls, experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs, Ignition/Wonderware HMI/SCADA,

Qualifications

5+ years of industrial controls engineering experience.
Background in a systems integrator or discrete manufacturing environment.
Strong PLC programming on Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms.
HMI/SCADA experience, ignition and/or Wonderware preferred.
Comfortable onsite support and leading projects from day one.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Design, program, test, and commission industrial control systems.
Lead projects from initial estimate through design, implementation, startup, and handover.
Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions for a range of industrial customers.
Respond to service and emergency support calls, troubleshooting and restoring operation.
Work with customers to manage requirements and resolve technical issues.
Support commissioning, startup activities, and system optimization.
Ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
