Job summary

You will specify control panels, networks, and software (Rockwell PLCs, FactoryTalk, and HMI/SCADA), and translate processes into construction packages. You will mentor team members, support lifecycle project execution, and perform site surveys with hands-on installation support while ensuring UL508A/NEC compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 6+ years in control systems, manufacturing or consulting-design environments.
• Experience commissioning systems and leading projects as a lead.
• Proficient in automation project tasks including design, client coordination and bid package prep.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for control panel design and electrical construction packages.
• Familiarity with UL508A/NEC standards.
• Hands-on site surveying and as-built documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support design of automation projects, developing specs for panels, networks, and software.
• Translate processes into detailed construction packages for control panels and electrical scopes.
• Mentor and supervise project team members to enhance collaboration and execution.
• Provide lifecycle support including system design, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning.
• Perform site surveys and provide hands-on installation support for control systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (UL508A, NEC).
• Engage in diverse projects to grow engineering and project management skills.
• Travel 20-40% depending on project requirements.
