CONVERGIX Automation Solutions in Bridgman, MI is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, and build custom robotic automation systems for diverse industries.

You will collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams, develop robust control architectures, and deliver reliable solutions while traveling to client sites as needed. This role requires strong electrical design and PLC skills, proactive problem solving, and the ability to translate requirements into hardware and software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Strong PLC programming mastery and automation design experience.
• Experience with motion control, servo drives, and vision systems.
• Willingness to travel within US and Canada.
• Ability to troubleshoot remotely and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Design and document custom robotic automation systems.
• Program PLCs and develop HMI/SCADA interfaces.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams.
• Support field service and customer meetings.
• Provide status updates and test/debug equipment.
