Job Summary

The Senior Controls Engineer designs control systems for industrial material handling solutions. Responsibilities include developing specifications, device layout drawings, control schematics, PLC logic, and solutions that deliver customer value. The role involves working closely with project teams, leading large projects, and directing team members. Performs duties with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead concepting and design of value-adding products that meet market needs
2. Collaborate with development teams to develop products
3. Ensure product designs align with manufacturing capabilities
4. Develop control sequences and prepare schematics for control panel fabrication
5. Create PLC programs and perform prototype testing
6. Conduct on-site testing to ensure safety and performance
7. Investigate product issues and determine root causes
8. Travel domestically up to 40% within North America
9. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, with at least 8 years of experience, including expertise with sortation, conveyance equipment, robotics, Allen Bradley software, electrical codes, and CAD systems. Leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn new technologies are essential.
