Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation (JLG, an Oshkosh company) seeks a Principal Controls Engineer to lead manufacturing system projects in Pennsylvania. You will develop control applications, lead project implementation, and supervise startups and field support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Software Engineering or related field.
• Five+ years of relevant experience in automation and controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for factory controls and lead factory control systems projects interfacing with Digital Technology and Operations teams.
• Design and build control panels; read/write/solution PLCs, SCADA (Ignition), HMIs, and other controls systems.
• Develop and enforce SOPs for project startups with proper equipment and documentation.
• Perform startups, training, and field troubleshooting; upgrade equipment as needed.
• Provide Level 3 support for plants on control systems and maintain as-built drawings.
• Create and approve electrical schematics, layouts, BOMs, and design documentation; ensure accurate records.
• Lead debriefs to track progress, identify challenges, and drive corrective actions.
