Job summary

Design Group is seeking a dynamic Controls Engineer II to join our growing team. You will work on challenging automation projects across manufacturing environments and partner with clients to deliver high-quality control solutions.

You will design and implement PLC/SCADA systems, create documentation, and support commissioning, start-up, and turnover of complex control systems. This role offers growth within a top-tier systems integration organization.

Qualifications

Experience in control systems engineering for automated processes.
Experience creating and designing automation controls systems (PLC, SCADA).
Understanding of engineering documentation (P&IDs, PFDs, SOPs).

Responsibilities

Develop automation solutions and participate in design, software config, testing, commissioning and start-up of automated processes.
Design automation control systems and create project documentation and drawings.
Diagnose automation problems and interface with teams, clients and vendors.
Configure software and hardware per client design specs.
Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk, Cimplicity, Ignition).
Manage project deliverables to schedule and scope.
Support site construction, installation and start-up activities.
