Job summary

Robert Bosch Group in the United States seeks a Senior Controls Engineer with strong CoDeSys PLC programming expertise to design, implement, and commission advanced control systems for manufacturing.

You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to optimize processes, reduce downtime, and improve OEE across production lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in industrial control systems design, programming, and commissioning.
• 3+ years hands-on CoDeSys programming for production lines.
• Proven leadership of control system projects from concept to production.
• Expert CoDeSys (IEC 61131-3) programming skills.
• Strong knowledge of EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP, CANopen.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA integration.
• Familiarity with NFPA 79, UL 508A, EN ISO 13489, IEC 60204.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of complex control systems including hardware selection.
• Program, test, and debug CoDeSys PLC logic.
• Integrate fieldbus protocols and develop HMI/SCADA apps.
• Lead on-site commissioning and optimization to hit production targets.
• Create technical documentation and support manufacturing teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
