Job summary

GABLETEK is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for a hands-on role in Holland, MI. You will develop and commission a custom final assembly cell, programming Allen-Bradley PLCs and Fanuc robots, troubleshooting issues onsite and collaborating with an engineering team throughout the project.

The successful candidate will hold 3-5 years of experience in controls engineering and will work independently while supporting machine builds. This position expects significant hours during the build and installation phases.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of controls engineering experience in an industrial automation or machine tool environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working hands-on with PLCs, robotic arms, and automation equipment daily.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute offline PLC and robot programs for a custom final assembly cell.
• Program and configure Allen-Bradley PLC and HMI systems using Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View.
• Travel to and support on-site installation and commissioning at the customer facility.
